STEM Expo is Canada's gathering point for student researchers — a place to defend an idea, meet a mentor, and see what's next in classrooms coast to coast.
Every project starts local: a science fair, a robotics club, a late night in a school lab. STEM Expo brings the strongest of those projects onto one floor, alongside working scientists and engineers who ask real questions and open real doors.

Any student in grades 7–12, enrolled at a Canadian school, homeschooled, or in an equivalent program. Students may compete solo or in teams of up to four.
Teams register through the online portal, submit a short abstract by the winter deadline, then a full project summary ahead of on-site judging in May.
No — registration is free for every student team. Travel subsidies are available for teams from rural, remote and underrepresented regions.
Provincial finalists are expected on-site in Toronto. A limited hybrid track is available for remote finalists on a case-by-case basis — contact us early if travel is a barrier.
National recognition, scholarship funding, and invitations to partner research placements, mentorship programs and summer research positions.
